- Why should I be an ICTR member?
Access to a database of investigators, research topics, and community partners at UW-Madison and around the state are key benefits of joining ICTR. With each new member, the database has become more valuable for building collaborative clinical and translational research in Wisconsin. - Will there be a membership fee for ICTR members?
There is no membership fee for becoming an ICTR member, but you must complete an on-line membership form. Investigators and others doing research are asked to provide demographic information and indicate their research interests to populate the membership database. - Who can help me?
If you need assistance completing all the research categories, you can receive ICTR help by calling or emailing Donna Schaan, 608-262-3222, . - What are the benefits of ICTR membership?
ICTR Members can:
- Receive research discounts for laboratory and imaging services that include assays, imaging, and other tests from the many lab partners on the UW and Marshfield campuses.
- Have research protocols reviewed by the Clinical and Translational Research Core (formerly GCRC) and the ICTR Scientific Review Committee via submission to the Health Sciences IRB.
- Gain access to lCTR membership lists, core laboratory information, and assistance through consultations with biostatistics/bioinformatics, CTRC, IRB, OCT, and scientific editing of grants and manuscripts.
- Apply for ICTR pilot funds for clinical and translational research grants (Type 1 or Type 2) and community collaboration grants.
- Query the extensive ICTR Membership Database, which has more than 1400 investigators currently. Querying allows members to search by member name or by a research interest area. Access means members can find researchers with similar interests, access UW researcher publications, and contact others with related research projects.
