Rebecca Marnocha, ICTR Associate Director

Rebecca Marnocha, PharmD, is Associate Director of UW ICTR, leading the Institute's Clinical Research Infrastructure System (CRIS), one of the ICTR core groups. As head of CRIS, she oversees the Office of Clinical Trials (OCT); development of the two ICTR OnCore software/database tools (study management and biospecimen tracking); regulatory resources such as the Health Sciences IRB interface, review process development, data and safety monitoring; compliance initiatives; and the "without walls" Mobile Research Team of coordinators and nurses who deliver research services 24/7 throughout UW Hospital and Madison clinics.

Dr. Marnocha, a native of Michigan, has a Clinical Associate Professor appointment at the UW School of Pharmacy and is also Director of Clinical Research for the UW School of Medicine and Public Health (SMPH), providing leadership and direction to the Health Sciences IRBs, OCT, and the ICTR Clinical and Translational Research Core (formerly GCRC).

She holds a bachelor's degree from Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI, and a Doctor of Pharmacy from the University of North Carolina in Chapel Hill, later completing an oncology research fellowship at the UW-Madison School of Pharmacy.

In addition to her ICTR, School of Pharmacy, and SMPH positions, Dr. Marnocha also is Director of the UW Hospital and Clinics (UWHC) Pharmaceutical Research Center, through which all clinical drug research must be conducted if performed within the UWHC system. She serves on the Health Sciences Institutional Review Board and the IRB Steering Committee, co-chairs the UWHC Research Safety Committee, and helps lead the Research Billing Compliance Program.
