UW ICTR Membership Categories
Investigator - Investigators conduct research and act as principal investigators, co-investigators and/or lead researchers. They may be members of the University of Wisconsin and/or employees of its partnering private or public organization(s), as well as investigators participating in a community initiative. They are responsible for overall scientific integrity and research ethics.
Research Staff - Research staff act as support persons in research projects by managing, organizing, administering studies and/or conducting research activities. Research staff may be employees of the University of Wisconsin or its partnering private or public organization(s), as well as employees/volunteers participating in a community initiative.
Student/Trainees - Students and trainees are participants in education and training programs provided through the University of Wisconsin and its partners. Graduate students, fellows, post-doctoral trainees, professional students and residents are considered student/trainee members.
Affiliate - Affiliates are employees of the University of Wisconsin that have non-research roles and professional responsibilities. Department administrators, research ambassadors and support staff with a relationship to ICTR are considered affiliates.
Community Member - Community members are non-research professionals situated outside of the University of Wisconsin that have or would like to develop a relationship with the ICTR. Community members may be directors, managers or employees of non-profit, non-governmental, private and public and/or volunteer organizations.
