Membership Form & Login - FAQ

  1. How do I log into the ICTR site?

You cannot log into the ICTR website until you have an assigned username and password. First, you need to complete and submit a Membership Form application. An ICTR representative will call you to confirm information and then a username and password will be assigned after that contact.

  2. Why do I need to be an ICTR member

ICTR is building an extensive research database for reporting to NIH and to provide information for your benefit. We need your research interests information to build the database, so that you can query the database to find who is doing what research at UW, or who might be a viable collaborator in your research area. This queryable database is just one benefit of ICTR membership.

  3. What are the other benefits of ICTR membership?
ICTR members will be able to
    1. Log into the ICTR internal Web Portal that holds “member only” information
    2. Be eligible for Core Lab discounts for their studies
    3. Submit proposals for pilot study funding
    4. receive free services in developing IRB and CTRC applications, biostatistical and biomedical informatics reviews, grant writing consultations, and guidance from the ICTR Research Ambassadors.

  4. Do I have to fill out an ICTR Membership Form if I am already an investigator who has protocols on the Clinical and Translational Research Core (CTRC, formerly the GCRC)?

Yes, everyone who wants access to ICTR benefits (discounted labs, scientific review, querying of the Membership Database, the CTSA application pdf, applications for pilot funding, etc.) needs to fill out the Membership Form on the ICTR Web Portal. Click here for the Membership Form.

  5. I get error messages when I submit my Membership Form. How do I know that my Form has been successfully submitted?

Call the ICTR information telephone number (263-1018) or email ICTR at info@uwictr.wisc.edu and someone will check to confirm your Membership Form has been submitted. If you noted your error message, please tell us the message. That will help us remove “bugs” from our program.
