Humberto Vidaillet, UW ICTR Associate Director
Humberto J. Vidaillet, MD, is Associate Director of the UW-ICTR and the Director of Medical Research for the Marshfield Clinic system, as well as Director of the Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation. As an ICTR associate director, he is an integral part of the Institute leadership team and will specifically oversee functioning of the Marshfield programs in Research Education and Career Development, Clinical and Translational Resources, Biostatistics and Biomedical Informatics and the Community-Academic Partnership.
Dr. Vidaillet obtained his residency training in internal medicine at Mayo Clinic and completed a cardiology/electrophysiology fellowship at Duke University Medical Center. He joined the Cardiology Department at Marshfield Clinic in 1987 where he served as Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology until 2005. A former Chair of the International Subcommittee of the
An avid researcher, Dr. Vidaillet received Marshfield Clinic Research Foundation’s Gwen D. Sebold Award in 2002 in recognition of his outstanding research. He is a scientific reviewer for several medical journals and holds teaching appointments as clinical professor of medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and consulting professor of medicine at the University of Health Sciences in Medellin, Colombia, and the University of Chile School of Medicine in Santiago.
