Investigators are encouraged to contact the BMIR early in a research project and develop a consulting relationship with the appropriate faculty or staff. To make this process easy a web-based system is used to track and facilitate new consultation requests. Investigators with an established relationship with a BMIR informatician may continue to work directly with that individual.

The Biomedical Informatics Resource provides consultation/collaboration on the use of bioinformatics, image analysis, clinical informatics or public health informatics in the planning, design, conduct, and analysis of clinical/translational research.
