Community Research Educational Resources

In addition to the educational, training and career development opportunities offered through ICTR's Research Education and Career Development core (charged with developing a diverse, multidisciplinary, clinical and translational research workforce), the following workshops, on-line resources and video-captured seminars have been assembled specifically to support investigators, clinicians and community members interested in Type 2 translational research.

Research-related educational resources:

Type 2 translational research often involves collaboration skills and insightful data-gathering and analysis techniques not covered in many methods courses. It can require:

  • Devising data-gathering methods that are cognizant of a community or an organization’s culture, values, staffing, and work flow and that provide direct benefits to the community/organizational site.

  • The Innovations in Medical Education (IME) Video Library is a collection of free videos of educational events that have taken place at the UW Health Sciences Learning Center. The IME Video Library allows the entire educational network and the public access to the presentations from remote locations. Videos can be searched by key words, title, speaker, date of presentation, or most viewed.
