Clinical Research Infrastructure System (CRIS)

The Clinical Research Infrastructure System (CRIS) is the umbrella organization in ICTR that provides resources and help to ICTR investigators, scholars, trainees, students, community members, and subjects.

The support includes: research regulation areas, such as IRBs, quality assurance, and data safety monitoring; protocol preparation, implementation and grant writing consultations; coordination and budgeting through the Office of Clinical Trials (OCT); professional training and development for investigators, research coordinators, nurses, and managers.

CRIS also is the ICTR liaison to the Health Sciences Institutional Review Boards (IRB), Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC), and the UW Office of Research Policy and Compliance Programs
